Privacy Policy

Who we are

Single Tap Games is the small, independent team behind the Single Tap Games apps on the App Store (Single Tap Games for Watch, for Apple Watch) and Google Play (Single Tap Games, for Wear OS). We’re based in Israel. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean the Single Tap Games team. You can reach us at rankorn@gmail.com.

This policy covers both apps and this website.

What we don't collect

The apps don't ask for or collect personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, precise (GPS) location, or health and fitness data. There is no account and nothing to sign up for. The apps have no ads and no in-app purchases.

Anonymous usage analytics

Both apps use Google Analytics for Firebase, an analytics service provided by Google, to help us understand how the games are used. For example, it shows us which games are played most, how long a typical session lasts, and which watch models and system versions we need to support. According to Google's documentation, it automatically collects:

• A random app-instance ID. This is created for each installation of the app and used to count users. It isn't your name, email or account. On Apple Watch, Apple's identifier for vendors (a random ID that's the same only across apps from the same developer) may also be collected.
• App usage events, such as when the app is first opened, when a session starts, screen views, how long the app is used, and app or system updates.
• Device and app information, such as device model and brand, operating system and version, language setting, app version, and the store the app was installed from.
• Approximate location, such as country, region or city. Google estimates this from your device's IP address; it doesn't use your watch's location services. For users in the EU, UK and Switzerland, Google says it uses the IP address only to estimate this general location and then discards it without storing it.

What we don't do with this data:

• We don't link it to your name, email or any account. We don't set a user ID, and we can't use it to identify you.
• We don't collect your device's advertising ID, and we don't use the data for advertising, ad targeting or tracking you across other companies' apps or websites.
• We don't sell it or share it with anyone else.

We only look at this data as aggregated statistics to improve the games. Where the EU or UK GDPR applies, we process it on the basis of our legitimate interest in understanding and improving our apps.

Google processes this data as our service provider under its own terms and policies. Google may process the data in the United States and other countries where it operates.

What stays on your watch

To show your personal bests, the game saves things like your high scores and levels on your watch. This information stays on your device and isn't sent to us. Deleting the app deletes it.

Third parties

Apart from Google Analytics for Firebase, described above, the apps don't include any third-party services such as advertising networks or online game services.

You download the apps from the App Store or Google Play. Those stores are run by Apple and Google under their own privacy policies: Apple Privacy Policy and Google Privacy Policy. As part of their normal developer tools, the stores may also give us aggregated statistics (such as the number of downloads) and, if you've chosen to share them on your device, crash reports.

Children's privacy

Single Tap Games is rated 4+ on the App Store and suitable for all ages. We don't ask anyone, including children, for personal information like names or email addresses. The only data collected is the anonymous usage analytics described above. It's the same for every player and is used only to understand and improve the app, never for advertising or profiling. If you are a parent or guardian and have questions or concerns, please contact us.

Data security and retention

Analytics data is sent to Google over an encrypted connection (TLS). Google Analytics automatically deletes user-level and event-level data after the retention period set in our Analytics settings, which is at most 14 months. Aggregated reports, like total counts that aren't tied to an app installation, may be kept longer. Apart from this, we don't store any data about you.

Your choices and rights

If you delete the app, analytics collection stops. If you install it again, a new random app-instance ID is created.

Depending on where you live (for example under the EU or UK GDPR, Israel's Privacy Protection Law or US state privacy laws), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data about you, or to object to its processing. Because the analytics data isn't linked to your identity, we usually can't find data belonging to a specific person. Contact us and we'll help as far as we can, for example by asking Google to delete analytics data for your app installation.

If you email us, we use your email address and message only to reply to you, and we don't keep them longer than we need to.

This website

This website doesn't use cookies, analytics or trackers, and its fonts are hosted on the site itself. Like any website, our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and reliability.

Changes to this policy

If we change the apps in a way that affects your privacy, for example by adding online features, we will update this policy before those changes launch and change the effective date above.
